چکیده
Background: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is defined as an inflammation of the nose and paranasal sinuses characterized by two or more cardinal symptoms like nasal blockage/obstruction/congestion, discharge (anterior/posterior drip), facial pain/ pressure, reduction loss smell. Methods: The 55 patients diagnosed with CRS without polyps undergoing functional endoscopic sinus surgery were included in this study, whose sino-nasal outcome test 22 (SNOT-22) scores compared both pre operatively post op, 3 months after surgery. Results: Total score SNOT-22 was significantly lower post-operatively when to pre-operative (p<0.0001). Conclusions: Functional effectively improved quality life CRS.

OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS With the aim of facilitating preference-sensitive decision making regarding elective endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) for chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), we set out to evaluate the predictive value of the 22-item Sinonasal Outcome Test (SNOT-22) patient-reported outcome measure and to compare outcomes of a UK cohort with a similar United States/Canadian-based study. STUDY DE...

BACKGROUND A number of factors are critical when considering the expected benefit of surgical intervention in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) who have failed medical therapy. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the Sino-nasal Outcome Test (SNOT-22) and other patient demographic characteristics as predictors of postsurgical improvement in patients with CRS. METHODS Consecutive adult subjects pr...
